Anti-Bullying, Photography & Social Media Policy
Adopted for the 2026–27 Season | Affiliated to the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) via the Hertfordshire Cricket Board
1. Anti-Bullying Stance
OHCC operates a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying in any form — physical, verbal, relational, or cyber. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will be treated as a serious disciplinary matter.
1.1 Bullying includes deliberate hurtful behaviour, name-calling, exclusion, teasing, spreading rumours, and any repeated action intended to intimidate or distress another child.
1.2 All reports of bullying are taken seriously, investigated promptly, and acted upon through our three-stage disciplinary process.
2. Cyber-Safety & Messaging
2.1 WhatsApp and other age-group communication groups are restricted to admin-broadcast mode. Parents and players may not reply-all or post freely in official club groups.
2.2 Coaches and volunteers do not communicate directly with junior players via personal messaging. All communication goes through parents or official club channels.
2.3 Cyber-bullying between members — on any platform — falls under this policy and may result in suspension or membership cancellation.
3. Photography & Video Consent
3.1 Photographs and video of junior players are only published on OHCC official channels where explicit parental opt-in consent was granted during online registration.
3.2 Full names are never published alongside public photographs of junior players. Group images use first names only, and never identify a child's home or school.
3.3 Parents may update or withdraw consent at any time by contacting the Club Welfare Officer. Withdrawal takes effect within 7 days.
High-Speed Video Analysis
Technical video captured during sessions is used strictly for coaching and is stored securely on club devices.
It is never shared publicly without separate, explicit consent.
